If deemed necessary, subgroups are set up within sections to undertake special tasks. The department offers an international, mostly distance-learning, programme leading to a master's degree in health professions education and a programme in educational sciences. Additionally, the department designs and delivers various national and international short courses in educational innovation. The research programme and the researchers of the department participate in a national accredited research school.
